You might be wondering what Kluster is, cause you never heard of it. That’s highly likely, because Kluster has just recently been launched.

Kluster is the latest and greatest in concept and product development. It’s a community where everyone can cooperate together into discussing, making and creating great design.

This is how it works: Kluster tears down each project in Phases. For everyone of these Phases you can submit Sparks. A Spark is a solution or contribution to the according Phase and is presented in any media most suited to its appearance. Enhancements or refinements
to these Sparks are called Amps.

Not only can you participate on a creative level, there is also an option of investing in the talent of Kluster’s members. You can assign Watts to a project’s sparks. The Watt is Kluster’s currency and can be earned by participation and investing in the right Sparks and projects.

But why do a lot of creative work for some fake money? Guess what: Kluster can actually get you paid; because Watts turn into Dollars. Each Phase can have rewards, and companies put up cash prizes so you fulfill their creative needs.

Using advanced algorithms, Kluster considers the “successes, failures, reputation, areas of expertise, and overall history of each user” for the decision making process in deciding who gets which amount of Watts. This promotes respect and positive behaviour, with decisions backed by actual logic.

Last week Kluster officially launched at the TED conference 08 in Monterey, California. The 21-year old founder, Ben Kaufman, used cash flow from a previous collaboration project to fund Kluster’s kick-off. So set up shop at Kluster, create a portfolio, grab your first share of free Watts and start marketing yourself. Use this community to share your skills, see what fellow creatives are doing, and learn some new tricks while you’re at it. Develop great Sparks, earn Watts and get props for your great work. Kluster might just be the creative push you need.
